Here at Hayden Automotive we have developed this exciting new vehicle which is based on the original Land Rover Series 2 styling, but scaled-down in size to use Nissan 1400 bakkie running gear. Anyone with one of these tough little bakkies can turn it into our new Ant, because the Ant is designed in such a way as to use the mechanical components of the Nissan 1400, which are simply transferred over to our Ant kit to make a completely new and very cute little utility vehicle.
We supply the new chassis and rust-free GRP bodywork, and it is all designed to accept the Nissan 1400 suspension, brakes, rear axle, engine, gearbox, prop-shaft, pedals, radiator, fuel tank and instruments, which simply bolt straight on.

We are initially supplying this kit in the bakkie version, but are developing a new canopy which can be added later if required, which can then turn your Ant into a station-wagon version similar to the original.

This little vehicle will attract a lot of attention wherever you go in it, because it is so cute. It makes an ideal conversion for the businessman who wants a delivery vehicle that is 'different' and eye-catching, and will draw attention to his business, or for someone who already owns a Nissan 1400 bakkie with rusty or damaged bodywork, and instead of scrapping it, can turn it into a good-looking and fun-to-drive economical workhorse.
It can also be used as an inexpensive and economical vehicle to hire out to tourists, particularly back-packers, who come here for the African Experience, which would be enhanced by their rented Ant and look good on their holiday snaps.
